Savannah Technical College's Center for Traditional Craft will be hosting a lecture/book signing at the Massie Heritage Center Thursday, March 29th at 7pm titled The Lost Art of Craftsmanship with Brent Hull. Brent will present on how we have lost the art of building. The terms, McMansion and cookie cutter, are relatively new terms. They dont apply to houses built before WW II. The key difference between houses of today vs. houses then, is craftsmanship. Come learn about the death of craftsmanship and how it is being reborn. Find out why craftsmanship is an important value for the well-being of our culture and our lives. This is free to the public.

We will be also be hosting Brent Hull for a two day workshop on classical scaling, design, and proportioning of historic mill work in new and existing construction Sat., April 1, 9AM-6PM and  Sun., April 2, 9AM-6PM. The cost of the class is $50. Registration can be completed at http://www.savannahtech.edu/academics/all-programs/historic-preservation/historic-homeowners-academy/
