John Milner Associates Preservation is one of the nation’s premier historic preservation firms and is dedicated to preserving and adapting historic buildings and sites for changing needs. PRESERVATION is what we do. John Milner Associates Preservation (JMA Preservation) began as a small Pennsylvania-based architectural firm in 1968. Headquartered in West Chester, Pennsylvania until 2014, we are now the preservation division of MTFA Architecture in Arlington, Virginia. JMA Preservation’s in-house staff includes historic preservation architects, architectural historians, preservation planners and material conservators who all meet or exceed the historical preservation professional qualification standards of 36 CFR Part 61.

John Milner Associates Preservation - an award-winning preservation and conservation firm with offices in Arlington, Virginia and on Capitol Hill in Washington DC - is seeking an architect who is committed to excellence. Essential credentials include:

Knowledge of the Secretary of Interiors Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties

Undergraduate or graduate degree in architecture

5 to 15 years of experience

Interested in the technical aspects of historic properties and buildings

Proficiency and project experience in AutoCAD and Revit is preferred 

Strong communications and organizational skills

Collaborative personality to bring out the best in team situations


US citizen or permanent US resident
