Description

The Film Archivist is responsible for evaluating, arranging, describing, and providing access to a wide variety of moving images. The Film Archivist will respond to inquiries about the materials in the moving image collection and is responsible for the care of existing film and videotapes collections and the assessment and acquisition of new collections.

Requirements

This position requires skills and abilities typically acquired through a Bachelor's degree in history, American studies, or a related field and the completion of a Master's degree in Library Science, history, photograph or film preservation or a related field that includes moving image preservation and archival care and management of film collections.
