Position will entail documenting current conditions of existing structures to produce shop drawings for review and ultimately production of millwork for various projects. This work includes windows, doors, trim, casework, some timber framing, etc. Work will be on a mix of new and historical wood work.
This intern will work hand in hand with the owners and will have an opportunity to learn traditional woodwork detailing on historic preservation projects.
Candidate must be proficient in AutoCad LT 2014 (at a minimum). Use of Adobe Creative Suite software is preferred.
The ideal candidate will have a good work ethic, be detail oriented, and most importantly bring a positive attitude. He/She must be able to accept constructive criticism, work well under pressure, and meet deadlines.
Some telecommuting may be possible.
