The Sonoma Valley Historical Society is accepting applications for a Project Librarian/ Archivist to oversee the cataloging of the Societys historic photographs, ephemera,and artifacts, as well processing, arrangement and creation of finding aids for collections of archival materials. This is a grant funded project position. Requests have been submitted for additional funding that could extend the position for an additional two years.
The Project Librarian/ Archivist will be responsible for prioritizing collections for processing and creating effective work plans to ensure project completion. The Project Librarian / Archivist will also be responsible for archival housing, digitizing, cataloging, and organizing of the collections. Creating a strategic plan for the library(archives).The Project Archivist will report to the Director of the Board, will work closely with the Docent Coordinator, and will assist in recruiting and managing project staff and interns.
Hours are somewhat flexible within the accommodation of volunteer hours.
