Complinace Review Specialist
Professional Opportunity
Big Cypress Reservation, FL

Responsible for assisting the Compliance Review Supervisor within the Tribal Historic Preservation Office of the Seminole Tribe of Florida. Duties include consulting with state and federal agencies concerning off-reservation NHPA Section 106 undertakings, reviewing NEPA and Section 106 documents, assisting with in-house document quality control, assisting in maintaining the document management system, and other duties as assigned. This is primarily an office position with occasional travel for training, conferences, and face-to-face consultations. An MA in historic preservation, history, anthropology, or archaeology is preferred. Previous archaeology fieldwork is a plus, as is previous experience working for a Tribal Government and/or working with Tribal members.
