The successful candidate will have the following:

 

  • A./M.S or higher in Architectural History or Historic Preservation plus excellent research and writing skills are required.
  • Candidates must have at least three years professional experience in field survey and National Register evaluation of architectural resources preferably in the context of regulatory compliance.
  • An understanding of building fabric and the ability to read historic structures is crucial to this position. -Applicants must have experience in report writing and are expected to have strong, clear and concise writing skills and be able to work efficiently and sometimes independently in a professional office environment and in the field.
  • The applicant must be flexible and feel at ease investigating out of the ordinary building types with experience in the interpretation and evaluation of infrastructure, energy, engineering/industrial and military resources desirable.
  • Applicants must have demonstrated ability to meet budget and schedule requirements.
  • Ability to travel for extended periods is a must.
