CULTURAL/NATURAL RESOURCE SPECIALIST 3 - OPTION A - DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION - ENVIRONMENTAL    

APPROXIMATE ANNUAL SALARY -  $46,019.52 to  $68,361.12  PAY GRADE: 35

This class series encompasses positions that perform a broad range of professional and technical work involving but not limited to: cultural/natural resource assessment, programming, funding, evaluation, survey, inventory, preservation, research, education, planning, mitigation, and recovery.
 
Incumbent performs and supervises cultural resource field surveys and writes comprehensive cultural resources research reports involving large and complex projects that ensure compliance with federal and state cultural resource guidelines. Incumbents apply a variety of professional and advanced technical knowledge, skills, methods and practices in performing work for compliance with the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966, Section 106 and other related federal regulations with historic preservation law. The incumbent will also conduct research and reference work, collect, arrange, and record cultural resources information, perform public outreach, make formal presentations and prepare grant applications. The incumbent will be performing these duties at the supervisory level.
