Our diverse projects in the western United States have recently included design consultation for the Santa Monica Post Office; input and environmental review for rehabilitation of South Pasadena’s Rialto Theater; implementation of federal Historic Preservation Tax Incentives for the Historic Westside School in Las Vegas; Section 106 consultation, master plan input, and preparation of a campus-wide preservation plan for the United States Department of Veterans Affairs West Los Angeles campus; and prioritization of multiple preservation projects at Santa Barbara Mission. We are seeking a talented and energetic part-time intern (at least 16 hours a week) who wishes to gain valuable work experience in historic preservation while providing research assistance and general administrative support.  Applicants should have relevant experience or strong interest in architecture, urban planning, history, and/or historic preservation.  Knowledge of Microsoft Office software is essential; familiarity with photo applications, such as Adobe Photoshop, and Esri ArcGIS is preferred.  We offer flexible hours, a team-oriented, casual workplace, and competitive compensation.  The internship will begin in September 2015.
