Seeking General/Architectural Inspector for restoration/renovation of exterior brick work on large, historic building in Washington, DC.
 
Duties
Closely monitor and inspect all field work and perform Quality Assurance (QA) ensuring all work is conducted to the contract documents, complies with
all applicable building codes, industry standards and all local, state and federal regulations. In addition to inspections, duties include, but are not limited to preparing correspondence, preparing daily construction inspection reports, maintaining official construction site records, conducting meetings to resolve problems on construction projects, and briefing clients and management personnel.
 
Position Requirements
  • Must possess a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in providing construction/renovation inspection services.
  • Must have prior inspection experience on a minimum of two (2) exterior masonry restoration/renovation projects.
  • Must have experience preparing correspondence and maintaining official construction site records.
  • Prefer candidates with experience on projects involving restoration/renovation of Victorian-era exterior brick-work.
  • Prefer candidates with historic building materials and construction methods experience.
  • Prefer candidates with experience on government projects.
