Appalachian Forest Heritage Area AmeriCorps is recruiting now for one-year full-time service commitment starting in September 2015. Serve with agency or non-profit sites in the beautiful highlands of West Virginia doing museum and heritage tourism development; community development and capacity building; conservation, or hands-on historic preservation construction and outdoor improvements. AFHA is currently recruiting for four one year AmeriCorps National Service Positions to begin in September, 2015. These positions will be for our Hands on team, the members of which, spend the service year working primarily on Historic Preservation and Conservation projects. Samples of the service include window restoration, brick repointing, structural rehabilitation, painting, demo, and the like. We are seeking members with some experience with construction and working with hand/power tools. Supervision and training will be provided for all projects.
