Notice to Archaeological Contractors
Proposals are being sought by the Lost Towns Project, Inc. for the independant consultant services of three professional archaeologists to conduct emergency excavation and documentation on imminently threatened parts of five archaeological sites in Anne Arundel County that were destabilized by Hurricane Sandy and are highly threatened or experiencing ongoing damage by natural forces. The project will be implemented using funds awarded through the National Park Service Hurricane Sandy Disaster Relief Fund, and administered by the Maryland Historical Trust.
It is anticipated that the project will require a Principal Investigator (serving also as Project Manager), a Field Supervisor, and a Lab Supervisor. The estimated dollar range of the entire project is approximately $100,000. The proposed project start date is July 1, 2015 and the project must be completed by October 2017.
