CCI Energy and Construction Services, LLC currently has an opening for an entry level Historic Architect position  to assist the Historical Resources Team at Fort Bliss, Army Installation, Conservation Branch, in El Paso, Texas.  Candidate will provide historic compliance activities for over 700 historic buildings. The candidate will provide services to monitor approximately 1250 work orders and 41,000 service orders per year that include observation and monitoring construction activities that have the potential to affect Fort Bliss historic properties. Tasks include the ability to apply the Secretary of Interior Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties and evaluate building improvements.  Address historical preservation compliance violations for the Fort Bliss Historical Resource Team.  Be familiar with  historic materials, methods, and construction.  Perform field work.  Be familiar with the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 and Section 106  procedures.  Participate in associated activities with the Historical Resources Team that may include report and letter writing, data entry, and other requirements related to Section 106.  In addition, not less than two years' experience field work, preferably on historic properties.

 

Education

Staff level Historical Architects performing Compliance Monitoring Activities

will have an undergraduate or graduate degree in history, architectural history, architecture, or a degree in a related field. Experience may be substituted in part for education; specifically four years of field experience under the supervision of a professional who meets the requirements for PI-AH (Principal Investigator - Architectural History) or PI-HA (Principal Investigator - Historical

Architect) may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

 

 

Experience

In addition, not less than two years experience field work preferably with historic properties.
