Strathmore seeks positive, professional applicants for part-time House Manager positions. These positions do not have a weekly guarantee of hours, but will never average more than 20 hrs/week. Events will take place Thursday Saturday evenings, with additional events on daytime and evenings as they arise.

Duties:
House Managers will be responsible for assisting in both outside social rental events as well as in-house performances. They will serve as the Face of Strathmore, representing the organization with the utmost level of customer service and hospitality when interacting with patrons and clients.  They will act as information distributors and greeters, and provide a security element in the venue. They will assist with any potential ADA assistance as needed for patrons and/or performers.

Social Events Enforce and convey AMP rules and contract requirements to renters & vendors; serve as the on-site coordinator for issues related to the physical space, executed contract, or outside vendors, ie Valet, Photographer, Florist, etc (day-of coordination); work closely with the in-house caterer or banquet captain to ensure the clients event is a success; operate and troubleshoot A/V equipment, such as microphones and speakers; other duties as required.

Performance Nights: Serve as an usher/ticket-taker at the entrance; provide guests with directions, instructions, and assistance; monitor in-house inventory, coordinate day-of logistics & backstage hospitality; Liaise with ticket office and assist General Manager as needed. 

Requirements:
Applicants should possess strong communication and decision making skills. House Managers must have schedule flexibility, mostly working weeknights and weekends. Previous ushering or event management experience preferred. Must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand on your feet for four hours at a time.  The applicant should have a sense of humor and be able to think quickly on his/her feet. Must be comfortable operating A/V equipment, and have MAC and PC familiarity. Strong customer services skills are a required.

CPR and first aid training is preferred.

Salary & Benefits:
Salary is $10.00 an hour. This is a part time position with no medical benefits available.
