The Conservation Technician will implement building conservation projects in collaboration with the conservation staff.
Specific job responsibilities include:
· Performing hands-on, field-based wood conservation work.
· Performing in-house work primarily on window repair, glazing and preparation for installation
· Communicating project information to co-workers and clients.
The Conservation Technician position is a full-time (40 hour work week), temporary position (6 months). The salary is commensurate with experience and does not include employer-paid health insurance, paid holidays and vacation time.

Preferred experience includes hands-on woodworking experience (2-3 years) or the equivalent trade education, and a general understanding of preservation philosophy.
