The candidate must meet the qualifications as outlined in the Cultural Resource Preservationist I position (see How to Apply Below). We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to work as part of a team that reviews and comments on incoming National Register of Historic Places nominations, Eligibility Assessments, and Architectural Survey materials. Strong writing and critical thinking skills and the ability to work well with others are critical to the position. The job requires the ability to work in a team environment and on an individual basis.

 

Other duties involve light travel, including site visits that may result in the occasional overnight stay, training, outreach and related preservation activities. 

 

Please be aware the vast majority of resources we handle are architectural (above ground) in nature.

Although we are hiring at the Cultural Resource Preservationist I level, the register is also open for the Cultural Resource Preservationist II level.
