Dovetail Cultural Resource Group (Dovetail) is currently accepting applications for a lab technician in our Fredericksburg, Virginia office.  The position will be three quarters time at 32 hours per week and will last for one year with a three month probationary period.


The candidate must be highly organized, detail oriented and able to work well with others.  Cataloging will not be a component of this position but basic artifact identification is a must. Tasks will include artifact processing (washing and labeling), preparation of artifacts for curatorial delivery, and lab-based data entry.  Additional tasks may be assigned depending on company needs and skill-set of applicant.  Ample opportunities will be provided to learn about the professional world of cultural resource management and archaeological studies.  


Applicant must be physically able to lift and carry boxes of artifacts. Proficiency with MS Word and Excel is required.
