Preservation Chicago, a progressive advocacy group for the preservation of Chicagos historic architecture, is seeking a dynamic, motivated individual to serve in the capacity of Director of Advocacy.  In this newly created position, we are focused on hiring a candidate with training or experience in architecture, historic preservation, or urban planning to develop preservation oriented programming and work toward broadening the scope of Preservation Chicagos mission through increased grant funding.  While experience is not necessary, our ideal candidate must be willing to commit extensive time to developing preservation focused content and programming.  The job will include writing and editing Preservation Chicago publications, meeting with and speaking to the public and school groups on preservation-related issues, and working with our Executive Director and Board in meeting with public officials, politicians, architects, developers, and city planners to save Chicagos historic architecture.  If you are creative, energetic, and willing to think outside the box" to advance the cause of preservation, we want to hear from you.
