Preservation Services and Design Coordinator

Provide architectural preservation and urban design assistance to Main Street Arkansas and Arkansas Downtown Network programs through telephone and email consultations, site visits, written recommendations, architectural drawings, PowerPoint presentations and the review of architectural plans and specifications. 


Advise and consult with building professionals, constituents, and government agency representatives providing technical assistance regarding the proper methods and materials for the maintenance, restoration and rehabilitation work to historic buildings, structures and sites in accordance with the Secretary of the Interiors Standards for Rehabilitation. 


Assist in the training of executive directors, design committees, building and property owners and merchants in Main Street Arkansas and Arkansas Downtown Network cities in preservation rehabilitation and design. 


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: The formal education equivalent of a bachelor's degree in historic preservation, history, English, education, general business, public administration, or a related field; plus two years of experience in a specific program related area. Prefer: A bachelors degree in architecture, historic preservation or a related field.
